Working together for a better Utah
Hi I am Abrian B. Velarde and I am running as a 3rd party candidate for State Senate District 12. I am running as a 3rd party candidate because I have lost faith in the ruling two parties.
I don't feel like they are looking out for the everyday people. Their priorities seem to be money and party and we the people are an afterthought.
I know all to well what it's like to struggle and to live from paycheck to paycheck.
I have decided to run because I am tired of waiting for someone who will stand up for me and people like me. It is time to be the change I want to see.
I want to remind our elected officials who they work for, I want them to know that they will not be allowed to ignore or circumvent the will of the people.
My opponents will vote along party lines because their loyalties are with their parties.
I will work for the people, and I will reach out to the communities, regardless of party affiliation and find the solutions that help everyone.
We have plenty of politicians we don't have enough public servants. I want to be that public servant and I hope for the opportunity to earn your vote.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
The people of Utah recognize the inherent value of the natural environment, and have a right to a healthy environment in which to live.
The people of Utah have a common goal to the protection, conservation and restoration of the natural environment for the benefit of present and future generations.
While the government has the primary responsibility for achieving this goal, the people of Utah should have means to ensure that it is achieved in an effective, timely, open and fair manner.
We have plenty of politicians who look out for the interest of corporations such as Energy Solutions but who is going to look out for the interest of the people?
I don't and won't take money from corporate PACs. My priority is to serve the interest of the people.
We have done a very poor job in protecting and preserving our environment. I will fight to establish an environmental bill of rights to help protect, preserve and restore the natural environment for the benefits of future generations to enjoy.

Can you imagine what we can do for our own kids and their future if we had the lotto as well.
Money from a State lottery, can go a long way to help our children in so many ways. Students who never have to go without a meal or supplies, face to face support groups and mentoring programs and after school programs that keep our children out of trouble. It's an alternative to rasing taxes on people who are struggling enough as it is. Idaho has done this for their children and have made billions for them. If Idaho, which is not that different from Utah can do this for their children why can't we?
